Robin Williams' Widow Unveils the True Reason Behind His Suicide

Not Depression but Dementia with Lewy bodies- The cause of Robin Williams’ suicide revealed!

Robin Williams, one of the worldโ€™s most beloved actors and comedians, took his own life in 2014, leaving many people all over the globe shocked, confused and heartbroken.

The man who had been known for his ability to make everyone laugh and smile was gone, and it was by his own doing.

Williamsโ€™ wife recently came out to shed light on his death, revealing the hardship that Robin was suffering from in the days leading up to his suicide.

Robinโ€™s wife, Susan, told Good Morning America that โ€œIt was not depression that killed Robin Williams.โ€

โ€œDepression was one of letโ€™s call it 50 symptoms, and it was a small one.โ€

โ€œIโ€™ve spent this last year trying to find out what killed Robin,โ€ said Susan, โ€œto understand what we were fighting, what we were in the trenches fighting.

And one of the doctors said, โ€˜Robin was very aware that he was losing his mind and there was nothing he could do about it.โ€™โ€

An autopsy conducted on Williamsโ€™ body would ultimately reveal that he had been suffering from Dementia with Lewy Bodies, a disease much like Alzheimerโ€™s that slowly decreases oneโ€™s ability to think, reason and function independently.

โ€œI know now the doctorsโ€”the whole teamโ€”was doing exactly the right things,โ€ Susan says, โ€œItโ€™s just that this disease was faster than us and bigger than us. We would have gotten there eventually.โ€

Susan says that Robin would often transition in and out of lucidness; one moment he was speaking intelligently about something and the next he was saying things that made zero sense.

She describes the disease as a person behaving much like a โ€œpinball machineโ€ because of how random and sudden the symptoms are.

Susan believes that Robinโ€™s suicide was ultimately his last attempt to have some sort of control over his own life.

โ€œIn my opinion, oh yeah. I mean, there are many reasons. Believe me. Iโ€™ve thought about thisโ€”of what was going on in his mind, what made him ultimately commit, you know, to do that act.

And I think he was just saying, โ€˜No.โ€™ And I donโ€™t blame him one bit. I donโ€™t blame him one bit.โ€

Parentification: How To Know If You Grew Up Too Fast

Parentification: How To Know If You Grew Up Too Fast

Parentification takes place when the needs of the parent come before those of the child. It results in a role reversal where the child takes on responsibilities that should belong to the parent.

You may not realize you’ve been parentified because you didn’t have to cook dinner or care for younger siblings. If you had to manage your parent’s emotions or act as their confidante, however, that is parentification, too.

For example, at age 16 my mother confided in me about her extra-marital affair including all her feelings about both the man and my father. This is an obvious role reversal because instead of serving as my emotional support, she made me hers.

Fear of Rejection? Here’s How to Finally Overcome It

Fear of Rejection? Here's How to Finally Overcome It

We often think of fear of rejection in terms of feeling cast out from the group or abandoned. This fear is a common symptom of complex ptsd, due to rejection by the primary caregiver.

However, a subtler form of rejection can make you avoid asking for what you want. You fear this perceived rejection (and it is only perception) so much that youโ€™d rather eliminate any chance of getting what you want than ask for it.

The fear that prevents you from asking for what you want is the chance you might hear the word โ€˜noโ€™. Thatโ€™s because as a child, being told you couldnโ€™t have what you wanted was so commonplace youโ€™ve come to expect it.

Thatโ€™s not to say you will never hear โ€˜noโ€™ when yo

Black And White Thinking: Things You Need To Do Break Free

One of the many outcomes of childhood trauma is black and white thinking. This is the all or nothing mentality that leaves no room for two things to be true at once.

If your home life was chaotic and traumatic, black and white thinking may have given you a sense of control. It allowed you to organize things into distinct categories of good and bad or right and wrong with no room for overlap.

That’s why you found yourself holding someone on a pedestal when you met them. Then downgrading them to evil when they let you down or made a mistake.

Your immature inner child would not let you label them a good person who did a bad thing. It had to be all or nothing. This is how complex-PTSD has robbed yo

Simple Microadventures For A Quick Dopamine Boost

We all know the feelingโ€”waking up and going through the same motions day in and day out. It can start to feel like life is on repeat, and suddenly, everything seems a bitโ€ฆ dull. We humans aren’t wired for monotony – our brains crave new experiences and little bursts of excitement. When we try something new or break out of our routine, our brains release dopamine, the “feel-good” chemical. These chemicals can lift your mood and give you a quick happiness boost. So, if your daily routine is feeling a bit stale, maybe it’s time to spice things up with some microadventures.

Adventures do not always have to be globe-trotting escapades. If you’re more of a homebody, tied down by work, or just not in the mood to splurge on a big trip, thatโ€™s perfectly okay! Instead, you can try microadventures.

Microadventures are small, everyday ways to break out of your r
