Truths Improve Life Make Better Person

Truth Hurts! When someone confronts you with brutal truths about life, they sound harsh and can be hard to digest. But if you want to get the best out of life and be a better, stronger person, you need to cut the crap and focus on the real and important things.

We are all on our journeys to become better versions of ourselves. But at times, we stagnate. And we become dissatisfied with our work, relationships, and many other aspects of our lives, which is basically a manifestation of our dissatisfaction with the self. During such demotivating periods, you need to introspect and get to the core of things.

Here Are A Few Brutal Truths That Will Make You A Better Person

1. Nobody is actually too busy to respond to you.

That girl or guy you like isn’t answering your texts not because they are too busy. Your employer isn’t replying to you not because they are too caught up with work. If it’s been a while and you’re not getting a response from someone, it’s most likely because they are deliberately trying to ignore you. They have chosen not to answer you. Face the harsh truth.

You need to stop making excuses. No point justifying the people who don’t prioritize you and ignore you. The sooner you do this, the sooner you can find people who actually make you a priority.

2. Everyone has his or her own best interests at heart.

No matter how authentic, kind and generous a person is, they are always going to prioritize their own needs over yours. Even the lover who is so good to you otherwise, will not realize that he/she is being selfish and having things their way unless you point it out. Even the most caring boss may not understand that they are overworking you if you don’t make it clear and just be okay with more work being piled on you.

It is totally your responsibility to define and protect your boundaries. Other people, even if they realize that they are overburdening you, won’t stop pushing you until they face resistance from your side. Most people will try to drain you as much as possible if you let them have it their way.

Nobody will stick up for you. You need to stick up for yourself at all times. People who are powerful understand this. That is why they aren’t afraid to say ‘No’ when they don’t want to do something.

3. It is impossible to please everybody.

If you were to actually listen and follow the advice everyone in your life gives you for free, you’d most likely end up a lifeless and confused mess! And then another well-wisher would come along asking you to be more interesting and lively!

The reality is, it’s just not possible to please every person you know. No matter you follow the most conservative life path or the most eccentric one, there will always be someone who won’t be okay with the way you lead your life.

Understand this: Whatever it is you do, you’re going to be judged and criticized. So might as well face all of that for doing what you actually love to do. Philosophically speaking, the only person whose judgment should matter to you is you.

4. The world owes you absolutely nothing.

You might be one of the smartest, kindest, coolest, and most intriguing people to live– you know it, but if you’re not making use of those traits, if you’re not putting your abilities to work, you’re not entitled to anything at all for possessing them.

People who are really strong and powerful understand that there are two fundamental choices on which everything depends: You can waste your entire life pitying yourself because you think you deserve better in life than you’re getting, or you can actually go out there and take what you want and know should belong with you.

It’s a no brainer that the most successful people always opt for the second path.

5. The prize for arguing on behalf of your restrictions is getting to keep them.

You can spend your days complaining about how you don’t have sufficient resources, like money, time, and energy to pursue the life you want to and achieve the things that you dream of. And I believe you, all of those reasons might be valid. But here is the harsh truth– every single human being on this planet has at least one solid reason for not living the kind of life they want to.

The only difference between successful people who achieve what they want and the people who don’t is that the achievers ignore all the excuses.

They find a way to overcome their limitations, instead of complaining about them, and that is exactly why they are successful.

6. Your actions define you, not your thoughts.

Good thoughts are wonderful, but if those intentions aren’t realized through actions, they mean nothing. In your head, you can keep conceptualizing ways to make the world a better place, but unless you actively start to implement them, your good intentions make no difference at all.

In the end, who you are is defined by your actions and not your thoughts.

7. Nobody is coming to save you from your life.

When we are unhappy with our situation in life, we illogically hope for a drastic change to happen on its own and save us from our miserable existence. It’s easier to believe that the perfect job opportunity, the lover of our dreams, and unexpected surprises will reach us on their own.

But the brutal truth is that life doesn’t function that way. Your dream person isn’t coming for you riding on a white horse and if you want a change in circumstance, you need to create it from scratch.

This is what the most successful people do– when the going gets tough, they put on their armor, mount their horse, and come to rescue themselves. Because they know that if they want to save the day, they will have to be the one doing it.

8. Time is the real currency in life.

Think like this– you give up at least 40 hours a week to earn the cash that makes everything you want in life accessible. So wasting time is like wasting hard-earned money. Make good use of your time. Invest it wisely. You’ll never get back the precious moments that you lose.

Fear of Rejection? Here’s How to Finally Overcome It

Fear of Rejection? Here's How to Finally Overcome It

We often think of fear of rejection in terms of feeling cast out from the group or abandoned. This fear is a common symptom of complex ptsd, due to rejection by the primary caregiver.

However, a subtler form of rejection can make you avoid asking for what you want. You fear this perceived rejection (and it is only perception) so much that youโ€™d rather eliminate any chance of getting what you want than ask for it.

The fear that prevents you from asking for what you want is the chance you might hear the word โ€˜noโ€™. Thatโ€™s because as a child, being told you couldnโ€™t have what you wanted was so commonplace youโ€™ve come to expect it.

Thatโ€™s not to say you will never hear โ€˜noโ€™ when yo
