WHAT IS DEPRESSION

Depression is the leading cause of disability in the world; in the United States, close to ten percent of adults struggle with the disease. But because itโ€™s a mental illness, it can be a lot harder to understand than, say, high cholesterol. Helen M. Farrell examines the symptoms and treatments of depression, and gives some tips for how you might help a friend who is suffering.

…depression is an ''emotional affliction'' which henders the ''thought process'',it begins with ''frustrations'' of various sorts and ''morphs'' into self-pity and self-loathing…a sense of helplessness…to some this will become their ''identity'' and they will become comfortable, even empowered by this new sense of ''self''…the power of self-pity,the power of avoiding personal responsibility as in an ''excuse''…and all the attention they want along with the pity of others…this becomes the ''mental illness''…peace and love…

Notice how the ones who noone listens to or they dont feel understood gets sick mentally the most? What is therapist but a substitute for friendly non judgemental ear? I seriously dont think people would need medication if they had loyal friends.

Nastia Teliatnikova ,this is only part of the recovery…nothing good can come by denying the truth…without the acceptance of personal responsibility there is little or no hope for anything other than a life of medications and misery…peace…
