8 Things That Matters Most In Life

matters most

Have you ever noticed that over 95% of people never really think about life deep enough to understand the essence of it?

Those who do think are always way more confident, successful and happier because they have already understood the purpose behind their life and strive to achieve just that.

Whereas others, just keep on following what the culture says and never question anything, thus leading to disappointing and a regretful life.

In this blog post, you will learn the 9 things that matter the most in life. I donโ€™t wanna act like I have lived every bit of life and I know it all. So what I am about to tell you is the knowledge I derived from my personal life after dealing with all sorts of ups and downs.

1. Knowing whatโ€™s important in life:

Knowing what life is about is the first thing that really matters in life. Many people never reach the point of asking this question because it takes an act of huge courage to ask yourself this question unless something huge changed in your life.

Most people fear that if they think deep, what they do daily is never really important and it makes them unhappy knowing that. So they tend to bury the question down below and continue living their own negative life.

Congratulations, you have already passed a huge hurdle towards doing what matters most in life.

2. Meaning of life:

As humans, we have a deep need to feel as if our lives have some deep meaning. The meaning is our only psychological defense against the inevitability and complexity of our own life and death.

Thus, we should make our life meaningful and the bigger meaning we give to our life, the happier and fulfilled we feel. So, do something that can justify and satisfy spending your whole life with.

Maybe it is building a charitable trust for cancer patients, helping homeless small kids go to school or providing basic necessities to people in need.

Making your life meaningful will give you the reasons to fight back from tough times in life as you will be doing something that means even more than just yourself and thatโ€™s what I believe life is about.

Learn here the perfect guide to making your life meaningful

โ€œThe meaning of life is to give life meaning. What meaning would you give your life?โ€

3. Money:

Yeah!ย Money does matter. It is certainly one of the ways you can turn your dreams into reality. It can give you freedom, security, the feeling of empowerment, choices in life and the power of helping those you love and those in need.

But the catch is you either master money or it masters you. If it masters you, you become a slave of it with no freedom to live the life you want, no security, and the inability to help the loved ones when it matters or one day, the lack of it it might make you do terrible things.

Thus, mastering money is certainly one of the most crucial things that matter most in life.

4. Health:

As Dalai Lama famously once said โ€What surprises me most is โ€˜Manโ€™, who sacrifices his/her health to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health.โ€

Most of us spend so much time of life focusing on career, relationships and other materialistic things that we often forget to take well care of our health.

By no means, I stand against success or having a good relationship but, even if you are working towards achieving success and a good relationship, pay equal importance to your health so that you can spend more time cherishing the success you have achieved at a later stage with your loved ones.

It may not seem very important in the short term but in the long term, it does enormously impact your life.

5. Relationship:

Having strong and positive relationshipswith people you love is immensely important. Numerous report suggests that people who have good relationships tend to live longer and less stressful.

Especially during tough times in oneโ€™s life, a strong relationship helps in better and faster healing.

6. Happiness:

To enjoy the journey is the most crucial process in life. With my own experience, there is no special happiness in reaching the peak of your goal and neither is it in aimlessly wandering around the base.

Thus, set goals but do remember to cherish on your way to achieve success in life.

Let me give you an example of a real-life rat racer:

In two years, a person is going to get a 2 dollar race, and he/she is so stressed out and anxious about for the next two years. After he gets the two-dollar race, he will be feeling so happy for two minutes and will be back to again two years of stress and anxiety for another two-dollar race.

This is the majority of people. Stop being in the rat race as happiness is the sole purpose of our existence. By that, I donโ€™t mean you should stop doing any work but to enjoy the path towards success. When you start enjoying the works you do, success ultimately attracts.

7. Develop positive values:

Values are what you consider to be more important than your feelings. Develop good values and follow them every day. Not only will they allow you to make the right decisions, but out of your values comes authenticity and confidence to shine and be who you are proud fully.

You can be true to yourself and true to others. Values are what make us decide all the small things that we do.

8. Action:

Even after knowing the things that really matters in life, if you donโ€™t put it into action with great persistent, it wonโ€™t have much impact in your life as it may even make you more miserable than before because you know that you are making fake excuse and doing the things that are not important making you unfulfilled in life.

Conclusion:

From what I learned and know, these are the 8 things that matter most in my life. If you think I missed some important points in what matters most in life, comment below because I am open to learning more knowledge from you.

I hope you got what you are looking from this blog.

The Aesthetic Epidemic: Understanding the Roots of Lookism

The Aesthetic Epidemic

We care about more than just ourselves – we care about our loved ones, our communities, and the world around us. We are affected by tragic events, especially when a child is murdered, regardless of where it happens. It deeply impacts us and makes us feel disheartened. Moral evils raise doubts about the goodness of the world and the value of existence, especially for those who believe in a benevolent deity. However, anyone can contemplate the purpose and value of the universe in light of such evils. We may not need to worry about the value of the Universe and instead focus on finding value in our own lives or the lives of our loved ones. The concept of value is subjective and can be created by us.

The important question is what we should value or find pleasure in. Some people may try to ignore moral evil by focusing only on their own lives and loved ones, but this narrow perspective is unsatisfying for most. I
