Although her publicist did not disclose Turner’s cause of death, she underwent a kidney transplant in 2017. 

In a recent interview, Turner spoke about her medical journey and described the challenges she faced following the transplant. 

Her body occasionally experienced the rejection of the donor kidney, a common occurrence after such a procedure. Some assume that Tina Turner died because of this.

Tina Turner’s remarkable career made her an influential figure in the music industry. Her breakthrough hit “What’s Love Got to Do with It” from the album Private Dancer in 1984 topped the charts and earned her the Grammy Award for Record of the Year in 1985. 

Throughout her illustrious career, she won a total of 12 Grammy Awards, including Best Female Rock Vocal Performance. Three of Tina Turner’s songs have been honored with induction into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
