Thus, it is a sort of completion of the astrological cycle. Also, the thing about Equinox is that it is named so because the day and the night are equal on this day. Therefore, the very idea of Equinox shows that we must reach a balance or equilibrium of sorts at this time of the year.

We have to evaluate the good and the bad as well as distinguish the dark and the bright. The point is that of course we embarked on a journey in April which reaches completion in September but we have to look at the results of this journey that we undertook and also the methods that we employed in order to undertake the journey.

On September 22nd the Sun shifts into Libra. Libra has always been a sign that has been associated with balance; its symbol is also ‘the scales’ which reiterates what the zodiac sign stands for.

Also, Libra stands for accommodating other people and their opinions in our lives. It also reflects how compassionate and benevolent we should be to people around us.

Thus, the Sun shifting to Libra on 22nd September says that we should look at how we started and what our goals were during the last Equinox in March. Thus, the shift calls for re-evaluation and reassessment of things that have been done and the journey that has been chosen to do those things.

 The September 22nd Equinox highlights the balance that exists and thrives between the masculine and the feminine powers. But this Equinox is different because it is actually telling us to focus on our feminine energy more than our masculine energy. The feminine energy is associated with softness and understanding and this is exactly what this Equinox wants us to imbibe and assimilate.

Also, the Equinox is a time when we should remember to pause and reflect. It is actually a great time to think about what you have achieved and if you have worked hard for your goals, it is a time to have a  laid-back attitude and just relaxes.

This is because we have almost spent this entire time slogging and draining ourselves. So why should we not relax a little and think about what we need to do next? Also, it is surely a good time to assess yourself and decide if you want to change the direction in which you are working.

Thus, it is the time when you should rethink even your own thoughts and try to completely think things through so that actions can be seen in the time to come. But, seriously, no work for now!

This might also be a good time to remember all the lessons that you have learnt over this year. Obviously, this year, like every year, has taught your numerous lessons. But the thing about lessons is that we forget to use them in our lives. We do learn the lesson but we sometimes forget to practice it. But, don’t do this. Remind yourself of all the lessons you have learnt and use them in your lives.

Now, let us look at the specific planetary shifts that will happen during this Equinox. Two key planets which are Saturn and Jupiter; they will move into new zodiac signs. This movement will result in a change of energy.

Saturn will move from Sagittarius to Capricorn and it will stay there for the next two and a half years. Saturn is more comfortable in being in Capricorn but before it leaves Sagittarius it will remind us of the lessons that this year has given us.

And to be honest, we can only move forward when we know the lessons that we need to know in order to move forward. Also, the movement of Saturn will result in rewards as it is the end of a cycle of working hard and learning numerous lessons.

Jupiter is also going through a transition as it will move from Libra to Scorpio on October 11th. Jupiter will stay in Scorpio for about 12 months or so. Also, traditionally Jupiter is the planet associated with affluence and reaching new heights.

But this time, Jupiter’s movement will make us more attached to our internal feelings. Jupiter will make us more grounded and will make us feel the importance of connecting with our inner self and tapping our innate resources and power.

It will also release us of any grudges or bitter feelings that we could have been holding for some time. Thus, it is a period of inner connection as well as emotional purgation.

The Equinox will overall have a calming effect on everyone and this effect will feel wonderful and will surely enrich our lives.
