I beheld onto the entourage of notions that shunned the norms of patriarchy,
Compelled by the grind, silenced by the storm, dedicated to be attuned to the tunes,
To be mellowed like a woman, a deity in the shrines, an object of desire molded to a manโs swoons.
Vanity in its uproar enthroned and engulfed the joy in its entirety beheld,
A manโs dignity is defined by the sacredness of the unwithered flower a woman held.
Leashed by the expectations, bound to the shackles of duty,
The divinity of a feminine alas plummeted to only its mere beauty.
Her existence sublimed under the pride of a man,
For society enforced every breath of a womanโs existential span
Evolution set its fangs deeper into the realm of the society,
Though its presence was felt, it lost its essence to the looms of patriarchy.
The spectrum that marked the masculinity and femininity of humans lost its supremacy,
As the worshippers of patriarchy kept women under their mercy.
Though reform is creeping in silent footsteps from behind,
Nipping the bud in its grassroots will keep the toxicity in its hind.
To breathe in a land liberated from the shackles of patriarchy,
Where a man is permitted to cry and women, can age old traditions break,
Into the land of freedom, I pray for my country to awake.
