In some instances, you may be requested to provide a base payment requirement for the job offer. The best answer is telling them that you are prepared to work for the lower of the average salaries for the position. Show them that you are ready to with the amount offered in the legal limit.

4. Don’t be Overconfident

Being confident in your skills and stating why you feel you are the right candidate for the vacant position is acceptable, but don’t overdo it. It is fine to highlight your previous achievements and maybe to ask about the prospective promotions within the role; nevertheless, it is not okay to tell them that you want their position.

5. Talking Harsh about Your Previous or Current Employer

Most candidates are bothered by the question whether is it ok to say no to contacting current employer. Depending on how your view the situation, at all cost, restrain the temptation of talking any ill about your former employer or saying how you dislike your current boss. It is ok to say no to contacting current employers, but it is wrong to talk anything negative about them. This will portray you as an angry or disgruntled person, and no one will hire you.
