Born on January 19, 1968, Rick Froberg hails from Los Angeles, California. In 1986, he co-founded Pitchfork alongside John Reis, Don Ankrom, Joey Piro, and Nick Frederick, marking the beginning of his musical journey.

Following Pitchfork’s disbandment, Froberg and Reis joined forces again to form the acclaimed band Drive by Jehu. Their self-titled debut studio album in 1991, followed by Yank Crime, garnered significant praise and a devoted fan base.

After Drive by Jehu’s breakup, Froberg relocated to New York and transitioned into the visual arts, creating artwork for Reis’ new band, Rocket from the Crypt.

Later on, Froberg took up vocal duties for the band Obits, achieving significant success with their debut studio album, I Blame You. The album soared to number 47 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart, solidifying Froberg’s position in the music industry.
