I’ve had a hard life, but my hardships are nothing against the hardships that my dad went through in order to get me to where I started. – Bartrand Hubbard

There’s a saying, “Everyone can be a father, but it takes a lot to be a daddy.” One of the biggest roles you take on as a parent is making sacrifices for your kids. Every single day, in one way or another, you find yourself giving something up so that they can have more. Whether it be your time, resources, emotional energy or the last cookie, you know what it means to put your kids first. And you make those sacrifices with the knowledge that they may never understand exactly what you’ve given up for them.

Coming into that same situation from the other side, as a child, it’s such a powerful moment when you finally recognize some of the sacrifices your parents have made for you. Becoming a parent yourself is often the driving factor to making that recognition.

When you become a parent, you’d put your happiness aside for the sake of your children’s happiness. Even if it takes a lot of effort, you will do almost anything just to see them happy. Because for parents, a child’s future is worth every sacrifice. The father in this video is a great example.

It shows us the story of a little girl and her dad. Everyday, her dad would walk to her school and send her with a happy smile on his face, as if he was not thinking about any problems. They would also stop by someone’s stall and he would buy her ice cream. It was an everyday routine for them.

Want to know why? Watch this inspiring and heartfelt video of a father who lied to make his daughter feel better. Her dad was always smiling as if no sign of hunger or pain could be spotted on his face. But the little girl knows that her dad is lying to her. And she told her dad about it in a letter she wrote. Our children are watching us and they hear more than what we say.

It is an extremely emotional video, but completely worth it.

Get your tissues ready, guys. If this doesn’t make you cry then nothing will!!!

Video: My Dad Is A Liar!

This is a great heartfelt example of a father who will do anything, and everything, just to give the best future for his children. We might not know it at times, but our parents are like him, and we should always be thankful for everything they do for us.

  1. Better to get hurt by the truth than comforted with a lie.”

    Lesson to learn:
You may be hurt by the truth, but it's better than living with a lie. Use this approach with your loved ones: it's generally better to tell them the truth than to lie to them to make them feel better. Being a good friend sometimes means telling your friends what they need to hear rather than what they want to hear.
