15 Native American Proverbs That Will Speak To Your Soul

Author : L.J. Vanier

Imagine if these peaceful Native American tribes were never raided and their land and lives never were taken. The history of our world would have transpired completely differently. We would be in touch with nature, ourselves, and the Earth.

We would be able to connect with animals, the stars, the flowers, and each other so deeply; something so simple that has been lost through modern reality. Let us never forget the wisdom these natives shared.

Let us re-create the world of cosmic, earthly, and universal understanding they once knew.

  2. Deborah

I believe Franklin got it from a visiting mapmaker and scout who got it from the Blackfeet, the scout was mapping Blackfeet land.Oh and I liked#7 and #10.

  3. Patricia Rathbun

Those who have one foot in a canoe and one in a boat are going to fall into the river.

#1 is my favorite because it’s an Apache quote, & I have a special fondness for the Apache since I happen to know one that is an awesome, decent, polite, & respectful man that protects the ones that will victimized first! There’s nothing about him that someone wouldn’t admire, respect him, & love for!!!
