The Candlelight

Though it is a little dark for some moment

Don’t be scared, frozen and broken

A little light of life is burning in glory

A little hope is alive amidst the cold and fury.

Love it all the quietness and peace

Sitting by the candlelight at ease

The layers of blue to yellow in the flame

The beauty and exquisiteness all the same.

The heart dances thinking about the past

By the candlelight, late-night studies at steadfast

Try smelling the burning soots in the air

A life lesson, it always wanted to share.

Life is perhaps not just burn and die

But enlighten others until the last goodbye

To leave something for others such as the wax

To be used by others as the time shall elapse.
