OMG! Twenty-three years with my Boss. This explains my feelings at the age of 55, that I am DESPERATE for escape. I have had to dull my reactions for much too long. QUESTION: Is it different with employers than friends? I realize that sometimes with employers and family members you have to suck it up. How do people cope? TRULY INTERESTED.

My boss is the same, try not to get involved, let it go over your head!

Get a new job! I’ve been there and while the job had good pay, and was probably the most stable One I could have had at the time I was miserable. It’s not worth it.

Sarah Jessop I have a plan to amend the job since my boss is 83 and depends on me. I hope this keeps me employed and reasonably distanced from his “vibes”. My BF and I are going to work on a “partial/virtual” working situation.
