The old friends who were sweethearts, seem close no more
and every meeting with them, stresses this distance more.
Let them live in memories – where they sparkle shine
Not touch them again – and lose what was divine.
The mind loves them all, in my memories.
But when I have them close by – why can’t I be the older me ?
Time truly does change us all.
Am I being Mean ? or is this the change time has brought in me ?
