The Rain

While I knew this rain for long,
Today, it plays a strange melody.
Pours endlessly,
From the painted sky.
Fury of thunderstorms around,
Falls like slicks of paints,
Furrows and Fumes the ground.
Whips the walls which stand for unity,
Which once thought to be a thing of beauty.
Cold-like deep burns,
Buried under the places,
Salted wounds and washed-out smiles from our faces.
I pray and seek you, O my friend,
Come to our city once again.
Pour some magical rain,
Like a few dewdrops formed under the moon,
Hope it cools the embers soon.
Let us pray tonight,
We know things will be alright.
