Goodbye For Now

Goodbye For Now

Goodbye, for now, my love.

You saw the whole of me, and I saw the whole of you

We grew together, but our leaves got tangled.

The more we pulled them apart to set ourselves free,

The more they tangled and intertwined,

And they slowly started to break.

We lost ourselves and lost each other through a jungle of pain.

So I ask you softly now,

Let me go.

Let me be free to search and free to wonder.

Let my leaves grow fearlessly and infinitely.

So I say now,

Goodbye, for now, my love.
