  1. Life is perfect,
    You realise when you reflect.
The hands that held yours many moons ago,
Now need to be held and loved as old they grow!

  2. The conscious children with conscience, brought up by a conscious parents with conscience, ensure there is light at the end of the tunnel.

  3. Only those wards who look after their elderly parents as kids sans an iota of offence but with complete forbearance when they behave badly out of senility are the children of god. Their souls are a reflection of true serenity. Their exemplary life brings up their children and their children as responsible adults. The society becomes a heaven.

  4. Give them love,
    show them respect
They are the reasons for your existence
    Nothing is more precious
    than their blessings
    Caring for them
    Is the greatest salvation.

  5. I live on an island with shells & chimes
Complaining about my lack of time.
Being the great Shravan of modern times
Seems pretty hard to our busy lives.
But in deep conscience the urge persists,
To care for my aging parents lurks & lives
Whose child I shall remain till I cease to exist
In the palindrome of Floating Time.

  6. Time flies, we enter adulthood.
Roles reverse, for as per the law they should.
But for the root, the branch is a dead wood,
Old age is nothing but second childhood.

  7. It will come the time, when you will need to swap the roles with your parents. Only then you will undestand, how much love, patience and commitment they offred you.

  8. In the reflections of time,
mom and dad were in prime,
they loved me with all their might,
    the family was tight,
    but the time has gone,
    I am grown up
    and wanna move on,
    I don’t want them,
    their usefulness is over,
    I want to take over,
    they’re now cumbersome,
    I find it tiresome….

  9. When I was small,
    they were tall,
I was the apple of their eye,
the bright shining star of their sky,
    now I’m tall,
    they are frail and small,
they’re no longer needed by me,
I am the ingrate, they brought up with love,
they’re now a burden to me,
that I want no more and to shove….

  10. Life is a cycle, revolving around and round
What u want u get, what u give u get it back
Look all around you and try to understand you
It is time that try to make u understand !
    So be with the time
    Time is flowing around you

  11. ‘Thank you, mom dad, for looking after and taking care of me with your unconditionally love.
Now it’s the time for me to look after you both with my love. So that we can live happily till the end of time..’
    (Based on the island form)

  12. I was and will always be your reflection;
In every stage of childhood and till I attained perfection..
Holding your hands; watching you grow old,
Make a promise ,will keep you alive in every generation..

  13. Once a child is grown they can be a parent to their parents.
Show them you know how by reflecting their example.
This full circle of love is in your hands.

  14. Life has a way of testing us all.
As our parents enter the second childhood, it is our call.
Would we stand tall or would we fall?
After all, what goes around comes around. And when the time comes and the reverse role you have found, please don’t mess around. Love them, be patient and look after them safe and sound…

  15. The love and caring protection of the old is available to view in the reflection and memories of how they were there for you.
Young or old there are hands to hold to maintain and sustain the familial connection.
This role reversal did have a lifetime of rehearsal.

  16. When you were still young your parents help you grow up and mold you into a better version of yourself and in return the best thing you could do is once they get older you are the one who will take good care of them ‘cos they are not that strong anymore to do things on their own ❤️

  17. As you face your second childhood,
You need me in your life more than ever,
To hold your hands and be there for you,
I reflect on the times gone by,
The days when the roles were reversed, when your world revolved around me,
I wonder if I can ever repay you.
The big question is, would you even want me to?

  18. the seven ages by William Shakespeare –
    All the world’s a stage,
    And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages. At first the infant,
    Mewling and puking in the nurse’s arms;
And then the whining schoolboy, with his satchel
And shining morning face, creeping like snail
Unwillingly to school. And then the lover,
Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad
Made to his mistress’ eyebrow. Then a soldier,
Full of strange oaths, and bearded like the pard,
Jealous in honor, sudden and quick in quarrel,
    Seeking the bubble reputation
Even in the cannon’s mouth. And then the justice,
In fair round belly with good capon lined,
With eyes severe and beard of formal cut,
    Full of wise saws and modern instances;
And so he plays his part. The sixth age shifts
Into the lean and slippered pantaloon,
    With spectacles on nose and pouch on side;
His youthful hose, well saved, a world too wide
For his shrunk shank; and his big manly voice,
Turning again toward childish treble, pipes
And whistles in his sound. Last scene of all,
That ends this strange eventful history,
Is second childishness and mere oblivion,
Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything

  19. It’s the cycle of life. We come into this world helpless and relying on others and at the end of our life cycle we leave this world helpless and relying on those we once took care of. It’s a circle of love
