15 Things To Do Before You Turn 30

15 Things To Do Before You Turn 30

In this article, I am going to pen down 15 things that you should try to do before you celebrate your 30th birthday.

It doesn’t mean you shall try doing this before blowing out candles on your 30th birthday as age is just a number.

If you are in your 20s or late 20s you have ample time to implement this and if you are in your late 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s still have time to think over this.

Life is a learning process. It keeps you teaching something till you die. So you are never late to learn anything new.

Better late than Never ๐Ÿ™‚

I am 27. Very soon I will be 28. I will tell you which points I have “DONE” and which one is “WORKING” to be done before I hit my second inning of life…

Without any fuss, let’s get started…

1) STOP SETTLING DOWN WITH ANYTHING (“DONE”)

Don’t worry…Hereby, I am not going to give you “Best Relationship” advice…So please keep reading further…

I hereby meant FIND YOUR OWN STYLE.

The clothes that you wear, the cosmetics that you use, the accessories that you use, skin and hair care products that you use should be as per your own style which suits your look, skin, and hairs best rather than copying down somebody else.

When I was in college I used to love loose t-shirts and Tunics. I used to take one size larger when it comes to clothing.

Eventually, as I saw people prefer perfect fit clothing, I followed the same. Over here I lost my OWN STYLE.

Whatsoever is your style, you are always unique, elegant, confident, and comfortable in it.

Why not justify our own style then?

Check out your wardrobe, dressing table drawers to track whether you have your own style stuff in it or not.

Products that are suitable for others may not be suitable for you.

Find the right product for yourself.

It takes many trials but in the end, you will get what is actually meant for you. ๐Ÿ™‚

2) TRY TO DECLUTTER THINGS TO PLAN YOUR EXPENSES (“DONE”)

We often end up having chunks that are unnecessary.

For this unwanted stuff, we end up spending almost half of our savings. Figuring out what we really want and what does not serve our purpose is very important.

3) HAVE OWN WAY OF LIVING YOUR LIFE (“DONE”)

…Without hurting others. ๐Ÿ™‚

I am not saying to be rude and rigid here.

I just want you to find out your own set of values and principles to be followed by you throughout your life.

Many times we just live our life the way we are told to live by others.

Don’t you do this? Be honest with you to answer.

Having a framework about how you want to live is crucial to living your life with some purpose.

Otherwise living or dying will be the same for you even when you are alive.

Figure out your own norms, values, and principles.

4) BEING RESPONSIBLE AND ACCOUNTABLE FOR YOUR OWN MISTAKES (“DONE”)

Honestly speaking, I learned this recently.

It is easy to hide behind a veil of blaming others for our own mistakes.

We are absolutely good at “Self Defense”. Aren’t we?

We are bound to make mistakes, otherwise how we can be mature and wise in life?

It is absolutely OK to make mistakes but It is absolutely appreciable if you take yourself responsible and accountable for it.

Next time when you make a mistake, don’t forget to accept it.

5) DO NOT DWELL ON YOUR PAST (“WORK IN PROGRESS”)

Our past is not our future.

Whatsoever had happened, it had happened and it was bound to…destined to happen.

We can not change our past but we can make our future better.

Clinging to past bad memories hamper the quality of our future.

Therefore, LET GO OF THE PAST and SHIFT YOUR FOCUS ON YOUR FUTURE.

Wish me the BEST of LUCK! ๐Ÿ˜‰

6) FACE YOUR FEARS (“WORKING”)

We all have so many hidden fears.

I have tons of known, unknown fears.

If you face it, it is no more a fear but if you don’t, it will haunt you forever.

I have a fear of darkness. (Well, there are so many other fears as well).

Every time I step into the dark area, I get goosebumps for no reason.

I am trying to face it. (I have failed miserably so far in this. LOL!).

Yet, Keep trying!

7) BREAK A BAD HABIT (“WORKING”)

Have a determination to break at least one bad habit.

It could be any bad habit.

I have a habit of accepting myself to be perfect which is impractical.

Somewhere in my subconscious brain, it is engraved which makes me sad sometimes as I cannot meet unreasonable expectations of my brain and thoughts.

I am breaking this habit by convincing this deep-rooted thought to get vanished from my brain at the earliest.

Secondly, I am a “Yes” girl. I want to learn to say “No” humbly when I am supposed to say no, but I often end up saying yes.

Well, working on it.

8) ENJOY SOLO SOLO (“DONE”)

What is that one thing you would like to do to get a “SOLO TAG”?

For me, it is SOLO online shopping. I do not take anyone with me when I am shopping online. I just order what I like and then show others what I have bought. (Sounds Mean? But can’t help) ๐Ÿ˜‰

You must be liking,

  • Solo cooking,
  • Solo sketching,
  • Solo shopping,
  • Solo ride,
  • Solo trip,
  • Solo movie watching…

JUST ENJOY IT ๐Ÿ™‚

9) REALIZING ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL AWARENESS, MAKING MYSELF ACCOUNTABLE FOR BETTERMENT OF SOCIETY (“DONE”)

This is something that was triggered in me when I entered into my late 20s.

I was a person who never ever bothered or was concerned about going for recyclable, organic, eco-friendly, cruelty-free, biodegradable products.

Thanks to my maturity level, I realized this is something that we shall never ever skip to follow.

Now, if I allow you to go through stuff that I use, you will barely find a product that is not meeting the above-mentioned specifications.

Secondly, this year had been so enlightening and magical for me. I saw many people had to suffer due to this Corona pandemic a lot financially or personally.

This gave me a sense of maturity about thinking of the weaker section of society, needy and underprivileged people who really need our love, affection, and care.

The feeling of happiness I get after helping them to empower themselves to live better lives is precious.

10) KEEPING A JOURNAL (“DONE”)

Have a habit of writing things that you did in a day or things that made you happy.

Journal keeping is the best way of having self check on a regular basis.

I call it my “Internal Audit”.

We get to know about our flaws if we write a journal.

It is like your progress card. At the end of the month or year, you can read through the stuff and keep track of changes that have taken place within you.

If you do not get ample spare time to write a page full of your stuff the way I have been writing for a year, you can think of buying “5 Minute Journal”

Buying a “5 Minute Journal” is the next thing on my wishlist.

11) KEEPING THANK YOU NOTES, THANK YOU NOTECARDS (“DONE”)

Nowadays we prefer saying thank you with the help of either text message or emoji. It is definitely a cool way of saying thank you.

I have an idea which is cooler than this one. The idea is to keep with you customized thank you cards or notecards.

They are tailor-made as per your requirements with your name on them or other stuff that you like to get printed on them.

It is the best way to bring back that “Letter Era” once again through these cards.

I personally find an amazing way of appreciating people and showing gratitude towards them with my customized design, content, and message.

12) FINDING WHAT YOU LOVE DOING FOR “ME TIME” (“DONE”)

Lastly, figuring out what you absolutely love doing for yourself.

In this busy phase of life, we often ignore pampering ourselves.

It is not a bad idea to spare some “Me Time” to be with you and your soul.

Examine what you missed doing so far due to a busy schedule.

Prioritize “Me Time” in your wish list.

13) TAKING MENTAL, EMOTIONAL, PHYSICAL HEALTH SERIOUSLY (“WORKING”)

I always say and consider those who take mental and emotional health seriously suffer the least.

As our family expands, we get to see a lot of things around to make sure they are happening as they should be. We have the responsibility of looking after our home, family, professional commitments.

These things often make us feel exhausted. Our life is full of ups and downs. In such a case, it is advisable to pay attention to mental and emotional health.

We can not afford to ignore our physical health as well. After all, “Health is Wealth”.

Meditation, exercise, yoga, writing a journal, having a social circle, the right food habits, right sleeping habits, play a vital role in that.

Proper food intake…

Nature walks and meditation…

Yoga at home…

Expressing yourself through writing and getting social…

Right sleeping routine…

Improves the quality of living life…

Listening to soothing spiritual music…

Aromatherapy for our body, mind, and soul…

Earlier, I used to skip morning breakfast but now I make sure to make it a part of healthy habits just to be more vigilant about my OVERALL health regime.

14) SPENDING MORE QUALITY TIME WITH OUR PARENTS (“DONE”)

In my view, as our parents grow older, they become children and we become their parents.

I often see around, unless we become parents we do not understand how much effort they have taken to look after us, how many sacrifices they made for us.

I feel this is the best time to bond with them ๐Ÿ™‚ This is the best time to spend quality time with them.

They need your company badly as they grow older but most of the time knowingly or unknowingly we take them for granted.

Now it is a perfect time to be with them just to make them cozy even when they have some medical issues due to which they become cranky about every tiny thing as they grow older.

I did not even realize how my parents took priority over friends in the last four years.

I am enjoying it ๐Ÿ™‚ so are they ๐Ÿ˜‰

15) HAVE YOUR OWN BUCKET LIST OR WISH LIST

If you missed making it for you, make it now.

Make a bucket list of small to big things that you want to have in your life or you want to do in your life.

Some of them you would get or some of them you would not get but having a bucket list is like targeting small goals for yourself that would give you the happiness of little achievements.

Some years back, I had a wish to learn to drive. Now it is ticked off ๐Ÿ™‚

Small goals keep you motivated and working to attain a meaningful life journey.

Have you started??

To conclude, It is never late to learn these things in our lives.

Frankly speaking, I started learning these points after celebrating my 26th birthday.

I feel as you grow older, you get to learn so many meaningful lessons if you keep your heart and mind open.

Now when I am 27, I wish I could learn these things in my late 20s.

Nevertheless, I am thankful and grateful that I could figure out these things before 30 ๐Ÿ™‚

Once you read this article, think over these things and start implementing now…

Keep Learning! Keep Growing!

The Beauty Of Gratitude In A World Full Of Cynicism

The Beauty Of Gratitude In A World Full Of Cynicism

Ever acquainted with the phrase that the world that you exist in, the life that you embody dwells in the perception of the stance you hold for yourself. The beauty and the tragedy of life is that it is as beautiful as the optimistic lens of perception and as ugly as the pessimistic view of your being.

The strive of our endeavours and the constant effort to achieve the next massive milestone often drive us to the edges of insanity, to be in the consistent light of greatness we lose sight of the great strings of joy that bind our existence together. To be the best we have ever been we must be mindful of the best we are. I Breathe In The Sauntering Air That Collapses My Being

I breathe in the sauntering air that collapses my being,I breathe through the crevices of my existence unseen.Uncertainty in its yonder strikes in bolt on the scars that nobody sees,Redemption that loves, redemption that is free, find me in the depths of my poetry.

Tales of lust ridden in smeared touches that belie,Entreated with envy, the visions of victory lie.To be or not to be in a question that yet lies,For I yearn for a world where fond passion never dies.

Identify The Wounds Of Your Childhood

Identify The Wounds Of Your Childhood

Being aware of the wounds of your childhood allows you to gain an understanding of yourself, including your emotions, behaviours, and thought patterns. Awareness is the first step towards healing, and acknowledging past wounds empowers you to address and work through emotional pain.

1. Wound of rejection

Childhood Impact: As a child, I felt like no one accepted me for who I was.

Adult Protection Strategy: Now, if someone or something makes me feel rejected, I tend to run away. I hide, isolate myself, and avoid everyone, even those who care about me. It’s like I believe everyone rejects me, and I don’t fit in.
