Do you remember when you were a child? What were your dreams? I dreamed of becoming a Pediatrician. I absolutely loved kids. I wanted to open a non profit organisation that would help kids and the elderly who couldn’t help themselves. I dreamed of exploring the world. My obsession with the natural world is even stronger today than it was in my younger years. The mountains, the rivers, the trees, the animals with all their vivid colours. Oh how they inspire me! I wanted to live in a big luxurious castle with servants to cater to my every whim and own the fanciest cars. I dreamed of the fairy tale wedding with the drop dead gorgeous white dress and the Ginormous Diamond ring my husband would get me! This was what I dreamed, from the time I was born to the age of 18. I couldn’t wait to grow up. I couldn’t wait to leave school. I couldn’t wait to become an ‘Adult,’ so that I could start living my dreams. Finally 18 years old, “Yes! I had arrived.” I got a job at a company through a family friend and I started to earn $$$. I worked and saved for a year+ and then got my own apartment. FREEDOM. How beautiful it was. I felt alive and ready to take on the world. But something happened! Wait! Was this really freedom? I worked for 50 out of 52 weeks in the year. The years rolled by 2008, 2009, 2010,2011, 2012, 2013. Whoa! Where did the time go? I was trapped and I didn’t even know it. I had fallen into the Rat Race like so many. The 40x40x40 plan. Work for 40 hours a week, for 40 years of my life to retire on 40% of what I couldn’t live on in the first place. But I suppose Ignorance is Bliss. I was okay with this Life. I had accepted this as my Destiny because this was all I knew.

Everything changed when I got fired in 2013. “Oh no, the end of my life!” “Curse you, you stupid company” I thought. Yes yes, I was quite the drama queen back then. I had no idea, this was the beginning of the Rebirth of my Younger Self ! Working in the system for 5 years made me completely forget about my dreams and aspirations as a child. Instead I was focused on paying bills and entertaining myself as much as possible on the weekends.
After a few months of moping and binge watching every series possible, something happened. Some would see it as a miracle but for me it was an Opportunity. One that was available to everyone else in the world but because I was in a State of Transition in my Life, I saw and grabbed it immediately. Through this opportunity, I was blessed to meet a very successful individual in various aspects of his life. His rags to riches story sent chills down my spine. I thought to myself, 5 years ago this individual was in a worst place than I am now and today he’s a US millionaire. If he can do it, I can do it! There were many thought provoking things he said that day, but the one that stood out the most was the 3 influences in our lives.

The books we read, the things we listen to and the people we associate with. He said you earn the average of the top 5 people you associate with the most. WOW. Where was this information all my life? He has awakened something in me. I made it my duty to have a conversation with this individual even if it was for one minute, I had to have it! Our conversation was brief but his words will remain in my heart forever. They say a Winner can always Spot another Winner. Even though he did know know me, he said “Nicole, you are a Winner and a Champion.” I couldn’t believe my ears. Here I am, a lost soul drifting through life without a clue of where I’m going and here comes this successful Entrepreneur calling me a Winner and a Champion. He believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. His words inspired me to dream again and has set me on a entire new path. Today I believe in myself. I believe that I could Be Anyone, Do Anything and Everything and have Any and Everything I desire. Because of his words, I am able to dream again but more importantly I am in pursuit of achieving my dreams. My dreams are VERY different today but I wake up now knowing It’s All Possible and I have the Power to Make them come True. My purpose of writing this post is to pass on the Wisdom of the Words that have positively impacted my life. To Everyone out there, You are all Winners. You are all Champions in your Own Way. It’s up to you to figure out what you will be a Champion of. Everything is Possible for Him Who Believes. First you must Believe !!! Then you must Change. Change can be Hard. Very Hard. But if you want Change, You MUST Change. You don’t have to Change Everything, but you do have to start. What are you reading? What are you listening to? Who are you Associating With? MAY ALL YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE. I AM CHEERING FOR YOU.
