Lawrence J. Cohen, Ph.D., is the author of Playful Parenting, an award-winning book that has been translated into 18 languages. He is also the author of The Opposite of Worry, which addresses the anxieties and fears of children (and parents). Larry is also the co-author of two books on children’s social development: Best Friends Worst Enemies and Mom They’re Teasing Me. His most recent book, co-authored with Anthony DeBenedet, is Unplug and Play: The Ultimate Illustrated Guide to Roughhousing with Your Kids.

Together with his wife Liz, Larry teaches parenting skills and trains parent educators worldwide. They have two grown children and a granddaughter, and two dogs and two goats.
