What is the Law of Attraction?
“Thoughts become things. If you see it in your mind, you will hold it in your hand.” Bob Proctor
The Law of Attraction (LOA) isn’t some ancient complicated ritual or mysterious theory or even a secret cult thing. It is one of the core principles of the 12 Universal Laws. To put it simply, we always attract to our lives exactly what we focus on. If you have a positive mindset like feelings of excitement, enthusiasm, passion, happiness, or abundance, then you will automatically attract positive things in your life. If you have a scarcity of negative mindsets, like feelings of boredom, stress, anxiety, envy, anger, or sadness, then you will attract negative things in your life.
As our thoughts are comprised of pure energy, it can work like a magnet that attracts energy at similar frequencies as we send out. In the New Thought philosophy, the LOA is the belief that positive or negative emotions and thoughts bring about positive or negative experiences in our lives. Like attracts like.
LOA has 7 basic principles that can help you achieve your dreams:
- Unwavering desire
- Conceptualization & imagination
- Focus with confidence
- Profound belief
Whether consciously or subconsciously, you act as a human magnet by sending your emotions and thoughts out to the universe and attract what you send out. However, as we are often unaware of our thoughts, we tend to send the wrong signals and end up attracting what we don’t want. As the Law of Attraction works constantly, you can manifest what you want and attract what you intend. However, you need to understand that this law is not intended to manipulate your or anyone else’s life.
How does it work?
“I attract to my life whatever I give my attention, energy and focus to, whether positive or negative.” Michael Losier
According to the book The Secret, every thought we have is made of energy that has a unique frequency. When the energy of your thoughts transcends to the Universe in a particular frequency, it is believed to interact with our physical world. As our material world is built up of energy at the quantum level, every single thought that you radiate attracts energy of the same frequency as you had sent out through your thoughts. Your thoughts eventually become real things.
Through LOA, the universe will respond passionately to your vibrations, whether positive or negative. It will simply give you back what you put out without any judgment. Hence, you should practice tuning your energy frequencies with exactly what you wish to attract and manifest in life. You will create your own reality by believing what will happen in your life. So it is crucial that you set a specific and strong intention. Once you have set a clear intention, manifest it by focusing all your energy on it. You can make your dreams into reality only by operating in higher vibrations and giving out positive energy.
LOA is fact, not fiction
“Whatever you hold in your mind on a consistent basis is exactly what you will experience in your life.” Tony Robbins
Although it may seem like a philosophical thing, the Law of Attraction is actually backed by science. In recent years, quantum physicists have discovered that our thoughts and our mind have a significant and tangible impact on our lives, the environment, and the universe. Scientists have explored the concept and have shed some light on LOA and found that our mind actually does play a significant role in how we shape our reality. It relates to the core Buddhist belief that what we think, we become. As physicists conduct more research on this universal law and provide us with further details, the more we will discover the benefits of LOA and the Universe.
