Famous INFJ Characters In Books

1. Remus Lupin, Harry Potter

Fictional characters with INFJ personality - Remus Lupin

One of the most famous INFJ characters there is, we meet Remus Lupin, a character with a personality that matches INFJ traits. Remus faces some challenges because heโ€™s introverted, which means heโ€™s shy and doesnโ€™t always speak up for himself.

But hereโ€™s the cool part: Remus has an incredible ability to understand his students deeply. He knows just how to help them discover their true potential without putting pressure on them. Heโ€™s like a wise guide who quietly points them in the right direction, and they reach their goals without even realizing theyโ€™re on a journey.

2. Alice Cullen, Twilight

Fictional characters with INFJ personality - Alice Cullen

Alice Cullen from the Twilight series is pretty extraordinary. Sheโ€™s got this incredible ability to see the future, which is mind-blowing! But what makes her even more amazing is her deep love and care for her family. Alice also has this unique connection with Jasper, who was broken before she came along, and she helped him heal.

Her bond with Edward, whoโ€™s an INFP, is super strong because they can read each otherโ€™s thoughts and see the future. Theyโ€™re both selfless and always thinking of their family.

When Bella joins the family, Alice becomes her best friend, showing true acceptance and not caring that Bellaโ€™s different. Alice is a character whoโ€™s all about love, family, and acceptance in the Twilight world.

3. Elizabeth Bennet, Pride and Prejudice

Fictional characters with INFJ personality - Elizabeth Bennet

One of my favourite INFJ characters in books, and also fictional characters with INFJ personality.

Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice is an all-time favourite character for many, and I totally get why. Sheโ€™s super smart and quick with her wit, which makes people admire her, just like they admire you when compared to her.

When she first met Mr. Darcy, she was full of hope, but overheard him saying something mean about her, which really hurt. But hereโ€™s the impressive part: she looked past that and saw his true self, changing her opinion of him.

Whatโ€™s even cooler is that in a time when people often married their cousins for money and estates, Elizabeth refused to settle for that. She wasnโ€™t afraid to stand up for what she wanted, and she fought for it with determination. Thatโ€™s what makes her such an inspiring character.

4. Atticus Finch, To Kill A Mockingbird

Fictional characters with INFJ personality - Atticus Finch

Best INFJ characters in books? He has to be in the list.

Atticus Finch is a true role model because he believes in the equal worth of all people, no matter how they look or their skin colour. He understands human nature deeply and fights tirelessly for a better world, even if he knows it might not happen in his lifetime.

His calm determination, even in the face of ridicule, resonates with emotionally mature, driven INFJs. Theyโ€™ll also connect with his belief that every person, whether a child or an adult, deserves understanding and respect. His focus on the bigger picture and treating everyone with empathy is something all INFJs should aim to follow.

5. Bonnie Bennett, The Vampire Diaries

Fictional characters with INFJ personality - Bonnie Bennett

Again, this is one of my favourite famous INFJ characters of all time.

Bonnie Bennett embodies the INFJ personality type. Sheโ€™s incredibly strong and deeply cares for her loved ones. Bonnieโ€™s creativity shines as she finds solutions through new spells, a trait typical of strategic INFJs. Sheโ€™s like a peacemaker, always seeing both sides of a situation and striving for understanding.

But donโ€™t let that fool youโ€”sheโ€™s fiercely loyal and will fight hard for her family and friends. Bonnie is the type who puts others first, even when she disagrees, like when she prioritizes Elena over saving Damon and Stefan. She can be stubborn, wanting things her way, but at heart, sheโ€™s good and well-intentioned.

6. Albus Dumbledore, Harry Potter

Fictional characters with INFJ personality - Albus Dumbledore

He is one of the most iconic fictional characters with INFJ personality, IMO. And also one of the best INFJ characters in books.

Albus Dumbledore is a wise and thoughtful mentor in the world of fiction. Heโ€™s always careful and reflective, taking the time to ponder things deeply. This quality helps him make a well-thought-out plan to defeat Voldemort through Harry Potter.

Dumbledore is not only wise but also kind and compassionate, especially in his relationship with Harry. He takes on a mentorship role, teaching Harry what he needs to know to face Voldemort. Just like INFJs in real life, he sees the potential in others and helps them reach their fullest abilities, whether itโ€™s Harry Potter or Hagrid. His ability to guide and inspire those around him makes him an iconic INFJ character.

INFJ Characters In Movies

7. Elsa, Frozen

Fictional characters with INFJ personality - Elsa

For a while, I couldnโ€™t quite figure out Elsaโ€™s personality in the first Frozen movie. It seemed like her traumatic past and the need to survive kept her true self hidden. But in the second Frozen film, her INFJ traits became clearer.

As Elsaโ€™s life settles down, she starts craving something deeper than family gatherings and village traditions. While she cares about her loved ones and her duties, sheโ€™s always yearning for more. She wants to explore the world, understand how it works, and find answers about her own existence.

Just like many INFJs, sheโ€™s torn between wanting to make others happy and seeking knowledge and freedom. Elsaโ€™s character is relatable to those who share these feelings.

8. Louise Banks, Arrival

Fictional characters with INFJ personality - Louise Banks

She is without a doubt, one of the most underrated INFJ characters in movies, and even one of the most underrated fictional characters with INFJ personality.

Louise Banks is all about understanding the bigger picture rather than just whatโ€™s on the surface. Sheโ€™s careful not to rush to conclusions and takes her time to deeply examine things before making decisions. Her gentle and empathetic personality even extends to the aliens sheโ€™s trying to communicate with. Louise often has visions of the future and strong gut feelings about what things really mean.

If youโ€™re an INFJ and plan to watch this movie (which you definitely should), be ready for an emotional journeyโ€”itโ€™s a beautiful film, but it packs an emotional punch. Louise Banks is a character who values understanding and empathy above all else.

9. John Kramer, AKA Jigsaw, Saw

Fictional characters with INFJ personality - Jigsaw

Now, now donโ€™t freak out. Unhealthy and dark INFJs exist too, and this is a one of the most famous INFJ characters in movies.

Jigsaw, or John Kramer, is an INFJ, but a really unhealthy one. He has some serious issues. Heโ€™s strangely good at figuring out what people will do and sets up traps to make sure no one can escape. He thinks heโ€™s doing something good for the world, but heโ€™s super self-righteous and full of himself.

Jigsaw will go to any lengths to get his way. Heโ€™s manipulative, sneaky, and doesnโ€™t care about othersโ€™ feelings at all. If you do something he doesnโ€™t like, he punishes you in really creative and cruel ways. Definitely not the kind of INFJ youโ€™d want to be like!

10. Lorraine Warren, The Conjuring

Fictional characters with INFJ personality - Lorraine Warren

Lorraine Warren is a unique case because she was a real person, not a fictional character. She claimed to have psychic abilities and worked with the Catholic Church as a demonologist.

In the โ€œConjuringโ€ movies, Lorraineโ€™s main goal is to help people by addressing their emotional and spiritual issues. Sheโ€™s really good at getting people to open up and share their problems. Lorraine doesnโ€™t just look at the surface; she digs deeper to understand whatโ€™s really going on.

She trusts her instincts, even if thereโ€™s no scientific proof of supernatural stuff. Sheโ€™s gifted at reading people and connecting the dots to solve haunting mysteries.

11. Raโ€™s al Guhl, Batman Begins

Fictional characters with INFJ personality - Ra's Al Ghul

Easily one of the best dark INFJ characters in movies.

Raโ€™s al Guhl is a villain, so letโ€™s hope you donโ€™t relate to him too much. Heโ€™s obsessed with his idea of a better world, and heโ€™ll do anything, even kill innocent people, to make it happen. As a mentor, heโ€™s pretty good at motivating and gaining peopleโ€™s trust, but heโ€™s got sneaky plans and hidden agendas, thanks to his introverted intuition.

His main focus is on the big picture and his understanding of human nature, which makes him the classic INFJ villain. So, while heโ€™s good at some things, heโ€™s definitely not someone youโ€™d want to emulate!

12. Obi-Wan Kenobi, Star Wars

Fictional characters with INFJ personality - Obi-Wan Kenobi

Again, this is one of the most favourite fictional characters with INFJ personality.

Obi-Wan Kenobi, an INFJ, is a character whoโ€™s full of ideals, passion, and deep thinking. Heโ€™s really good at understanding people and was dedicated to being a Jedi not out of duty, but because he believed it was the right thing to do. He made sacrifices and put the greater good ahead of his own personal life.

Just like most INFJs, he always looked for the best in people. Even when Darth Vader killed his mentor, Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan saw a glimmer of good in him and thought there was hope. This led him to train Anakinโ€™s son, Luke, even when the Jedi Council disagreed. Obi-Wan follows his heart and does what he believes is right, even when itโ€™s tough.

Famous INFJ Characters In TV Shows

13. Ted Mosby, How I Met Your Mother

Fictional characters with INFJ personality - Ted Mosby

Now, Ted Mosby, the protagonist in How I Met Your Mother, may not be everyoneโ€™s favourite, but heโ€™s got some good qualities. In his job as an architect, heโ€™s smart, passionate, and full of ideas, even if they donโ€™t always get accepted.

When it comes to relationships, Ted often messes things up because of miscommunication, but he genuinely cares about his friends. Heโ€™s a romantic who wants love to be easy and perfect, although he learns that real relationships arenโ€™t always like that.

Like a typical INFJ, Tedโ€™s main goal in life is finding his one true love. So, even if he stumbles along the way, heโ€™s driven by his quest for love and connection.

14. The Hot Priest, Fleabag

Fictional characters with INFJ personality - The Hot Priest

This character has my heart, and is easily one of the best INFJ characters in TV shows. Ever.

In the second season of Fleabag, we meet a charismatic character known as The Priest. Heโ€™s deeply connected to his faith and his relationship with God, yet he also yearns for human connection. This connection sparks with Fleabag, the main character, and they fall in love. However, The Priest grapples with his feelings, torn between love and his religious devotion.

Despite recognizing their special bond, The Priest chooses to prioritize his religion and role in the church over a romantic relationship with Fleabag. Viewers understand and respect his decision, as it reflects his commitment to his lifeโ€™s purpose, much like many other INFJ personalities who prioritize their calling above all else.

15. Lisa Simpson, The Simpsons

Fictional characters with INFJ personality - Lisa Simpson

One of the most famous INFJ characters, Lisa Simpson stands out for her strong principles and moral values. Sheโ€™s been a vegetarian since way back in 1995, way before it became trendy. Lisaโ€™s also a talented musician, using her skills to make the world better. Sheโ€™s a top-notch student, always eager to learn and excel.

But even with all her smarts, Lisa sometimes feels like nobody really gets her. Sheโ€™s surrounded by family members who are more practical (sensors), and this makes her feel like the odd one out. This is a common experience for INFJs, who are a rare personality type. Lisa Simpson is a character who reflects the challenges and uniqueness of INFJs.

16. Lexi Howard, Euphoria

Fictional characters with INFJ personality - Lexi Howard

Not many people talk about this character, but IMO, she is one of the best fictional characters with INFJ personality, and also one of the best INFJ characters in TV shows.

Sheโ€™s caring, sensitive, and smart. Lexi has a knack for seeing past peopleโ€™s masks and always seeks the good in them, even though she knows not everyone is good. INFJs like her often get labelled as shy or introverted, but they can be social; they just prefer deep talks over small chat.

Lexiโ€™s play in the show was a classic INFJ move. It revealed her keen observations of her friends and their quirks, showing that sheโ€™d been silently watching their lives. Lexi may have been underestimated, but her play was both entertaining and thought-provoking.

17. Manny Delgado, Modern Family

Fictional characters with INFJ personality - Manny Delgado

Manny Delgado, a lovable character in Modern Family, goes from being a mature kid to an adult throughout the show. Even though heโ€™s often overlooked or misunderstood, Manny stays kind and caring. Heโ€™s charming and friendly when he opens up to people. Manny can be shy, but he really craves connections with others.

Sometimes, he doesnโ€™t realize when people are making fun of him because he always looks for the good in people. Just like many INFJs, Manny is sensitive to criticism, and thatโ€™s what makes him such a genuinely nice person, even when others might not see it.

18. Daenerys Targaryen, Game of Thrones

Fictional characters with INFJ personality - Daenerys Targaryen

Daenerys Targaryen is easily one of the best INFJ characters in TV shows. She has a strong desire to make the Seven Kingdoms better by freeing slaves and righting wrongs. She believes in giving people a choice to follow her instead of forcing them. At first, she was quiet and introverted, trusting only her brother. But when he betrayed her, she became more open and extroverted, forming deeper connections.

However, she kept only a small circle of trusted friends. Like many INFJs, Daenerys is driven to help others and seeks justice. She fights for the underprivileged until power gets to her head, a common pitfall for many people.
