Kevin Costner’s Child Support Dispute: Estranged Wife Claims $188K Monthly For Plastic Surgery

 /

Hollywood actor Kevin Costner’s child support dispute with his estranged wife, Christine put him embroiled in a difficult situation.

The Yellowstone star and his second wife are currently navigating a contentious divorce, with child support being a central point of contention.

Christine has requested an astronomical $248,000 per month to sustain their three children’s lifestyle, while Kevin vehemently opposes the exorbitant amount.

Adding to the acrimony, Kevin’s legal team blames Christine for spending a staggering $188,500 monthly on plastic surgery in the past year, a claim she vehemently denies.

Kevin Costner and Christine are heading to court for hearings on July 5 and July 12 to determine temporary child support arrangements.

Christine seeks financial support to maintain the lifestyle their children have grown accustomed to, citing Kevin’s estimated net worth of $400 million and reported earnings of $19 million last year.

However, Kevin’s attorneys argue that Christine’s demand exceeds the guideline support of $123,620 per month and includes her personal expenses, notably claiming she spent $188,500 monthly on plastic surgery in 2022.

In court documents, Kevin’s attorney accuses Christine of inflating the children’s needs and incorporating her own personal expenses under the guise of child support.

They contend that Christine’s list of expenses, such as private trainers and extensive plastic surgery, is misleading as they primarily benefit her and not the children.

Kevin further alleges that Christine spent substantial amounts on herself, clothing, jewelry, spa treatments, and gifts for friends and family, unrelated to the children’s well-being.

A source of disagreement also emerges from how Kevin discloses the divorce to their children.

Kevin claims that Christine was not present during a brief Zoom call where he broke the news, a move he made to prevent a conflict between them.

He expresses deep disappointment that Christine shared this information in her court filing, suggesting her motive was to tarnish his image in the media and potentially impact their children adversely.

Both parties present divergent perspectives on their financial situation and the lifestyle they lead.

While Christine maintains that they live on a $100 million compound and need a comparable new residence to uphold their current lifestyle, Kevin challenges the validity of these assertions.

He clarifies that they live in one house on the property, renting out the remaining two guest houses for $65,000 each per month.

Additionally, Kevin refutes Christine’s assertions about owning a private plane, stating they do not own any homes jointly and that his reported earnings will substantially decrease in 2023 due to the conclusion of his contract for Yellowstone.

Christine’s Housing Dilemma And Attempts At Resolution

Christine states that she intends to move out of their beachfront house by August 31, provided she receives child support from Kevin.

However, she faces challenges securing a rental property due to the requirement of a child support order indicating a source of income.

She asserts that Kevin’s behavior has become increasingly aggressive, aiming to evict her from their shared residence, despite her role as the primary caretaker of their children.

Christine believes it is in the children’s best interest to remain in close proximity to their current home to facilitate ease of exchanges and limit disruptions.

As Kevin and Christine engage in a child support dispute, the stakes continue to rise.

With Christine requesting an extraordinary amount to maintain their children’s lifestyle, Kevin vehemently denies the validity of her claims.

The upcoming court hearings on July 5 and July 12 will play a crucial role in determining the temporary child support arrangements and the future course of their divorce proceedings.
