I Have A New Understanding Of People In Toxic

I have a new understanding of people in toxic, or abusive relationships.
The abused individuals are groomed to slowly accept the person’s abuse or misbehavior. It is a slow process where the person manipulates them and gets them addicted to them by, giving them positive attention, and then taking it away, in a way that leaves people confused and off-center.
 
Slowly that makes that person doubt themselves, and it chips away at their self-esteem.
 
Leaving them in a constant state of confusion, and sadness and crippling their ability to function normally and protect themselves.
