Alice faints and wakes up on the gym floor surrounded by her friends, thoroughly confused. However, she isn’t alone, as she’s carrying her first child and she fears that her fall might have harmed her baby. However, that’s far from the truth.

Alice is 39 years old, has three kids and is on the verge of a divorce, and instead of 1998, it’s actually 2008. Where has the last decade gone, and why can’t she remember any of it?

This book has achieved cult status for a reason, and once you read it, you will understand why Liane Moriarty is one of the most beloved authors of all time, and why this is considered to be one of the books for people who do not like reading.

When her column goes viral, she uses her writing skills to talk about the bad things of society, however, she does not anticipate the backlash she would get for challenging societal norms related to gender and race.

I enjoy reading Sophie Kinsella books, I don’t care if anyone judges me for that. All of her books just brighten my day every time I sit with one.

Poppy Wyatt had never felt so lucky in her life. She is about to tie the knot with Magnus Tavish, her dream man, however, one fine afternoon, her fairy tale world begins to crumble. Not only did she misplace her engagement ring during a hotel fire drill; worse still was the fact that someone stole her phone amidst the chaos.

While pacing restlessly up and down the lobby, she catches sight of a discarded mobile phone inside a dustbin, and starts to use it so that she can give her contact details to the hotel in case they find her ring.

Well, perfect except that Sam Roxton, a businessman doesn’t agree since he owns that phone and wants it back from Poppy who has been going through his messages and personal information. How they try to one-up each other makes up the rest of the story.

6. “Dear Martin” by Nic Stone

The novel follows Justyce McAllister, an honor roll student who is all set to go to an Ivy League college is arrested by a white police officer, threatening to destroy his life and everything he has worked for.

In the aftermath of this incident gaining national attention on every news channel out there, unfortunately it is Justyce who receives the most blame.
