Love Really Is The Answer

Love Really Is The Answer

” The worst that is in one of us is the worst that is in all of us. The best that is in one of us is also the best that is in all of us.”

Some of what I’m writing about isn’t a new revelation, but if you read all the way through, you’ll find there’s a deeper layer of truth —something that has potential to help those who were meant to find this article.

If the heart is allowed to govern the Self, then the shadow-self can be subdued. (reminder: the “shadow-self” represents the unrecognized parts of us that are deemed unacceptable and therefore suppressed deep within the human psyche)and then it will only exist as a capability; which is just energy in a resting state.

If only we had the courage to acknowledge that the darkness is just as much a part of ourselves as the light is. But doing this is met with avoidance and resistance for it being confused with giving the darkness permission to exist within us.
But the reality is—it already exist, with or without our permission. The key to not giving rise to the shadow self is in the power of choice. We always, always get to choose which parts of our whole self we give rise to.

When the human is led by the heart, it gives the heart supremacy over the mind and dominion over the flesh. And you can trust that the heart will always guide the Self in the same direction of the light.  As long as we are led by the heart— and the dark aspects of the human psyche are acknowledged,  will they be subdued and reduced to just a capability.

The Internal Plot Twist

The mind gives rise to the ego— which is delusional in its believing of its own superiority. The mind, in it’s intelligence… formulated the perfect plot to hijack supremacy from the heart, to which it was originally appointed. And the execution of its plan was—and still is—flawless.

The Fail-Safe Plan

The mind utilizes the brain’s functions and connects actual physical pain to feelings which originate in the heart, like heartbreak and grief.  That’s why those deeply felt emotions are so unbelievably painful.  So much so, that as a defense mechanism, humans allow their hearts to become numb and hard; for the sake of self preservation and protection from it. But in doing so, humans abdicate the power of supremacy over to the mind.  It is then, that the dark aspects of the shadow self go from capability to possibility to probability.

“Flawless victory.”

Vanity-
Vanity is very important to stay aware of when it comes to starving the ego. This is one of the ways I personally keep my ego in check.
I’ve discovered that when the outside world shows evidence of the greatness of the human to its own self, it can be redirected back to its rightful place—the heart.
“Don’t let it go to your head.”
For example: if someone gives you a compliment, and your heart confirms as truth based, wait for the very next available moment, and quietly sing—either quietly to yourself or in your head:

“I keep a close watch on this heart of mine, I keep my eyes wide open all the time…” —Johnny Cash
Then,  recite these words as follows:

“Let it go to your heart, not your head. Let it sink deep into your heart and make its home there. It has the power to heal you.”

When I do this, I actually feel it being received by the heart and know the truth of the healing power of it, as previously mentioned.  Most of humanity, past and present, has handed supremacy of the Self and dominion over the flesh to the mind— “on a silver platter”.

“Like taking candy from a baby,” says the mind.
We’ve fooled ourselves into believing that cold-heartedness is strength. That it’s a form of self-preservation and protection. But we need to wake up and realize that we couldn’t be more wrong. It is only when we are led by the heart that we are truly safe from  committing acts of evil and/or contributing to darkness. The human who has discernment not to mistake cowardice for strength and who chooses not to flee from potential pain when it comes to love—is the one who embodies true strength.  Pain is inevitable. It’s part of being human. But what if we had the power to choose what kind of pain we experience?  Pain from love or pain from evil?  Would you rather face the existence of heartbreak—or face the existence of serial killers?  Would you rather risk suffering grief and mourning—or the risk of being abducted and tortured?  Are we selfless enough to suffer the pain of the heart if it means others have a better chance of avoiding pain at the hands of evil?
Open your mind to the possibility that love is the answer.

INTELLIGENCE- The Heart vs. The Mind

Mental intelligence is learned from the outside world.
Heart intelligence is remembered from within.
Mental intelligence is hoarded by the ego.
Heart intelligence flows freely, as needed. It allows the human to be only as intelligent as life demands in any given moment. This enables the human being to live as much of their lives as possible without carrying the burden of intelligence for the entire duration.
This gives the human the ability to remain in wonderment and discovery in the world around them.
What a precious gift. It’s a beautiful thang.
