How To Love Someone With Anxiety
- Keep reminding them of their amazing qualities. Let them know their anxiety does not define them.
- Know when not to push them too hard. Let them take it one step at a time
- Tell them not to feel pressured to stop feeling that way, they can take all the time they need
- Be understanding. It’s not easy to be your own worst enemy.
- Listen. Even if there is no solution, your act of listening will help them get off their cargo.
- Don’t take a ‘No” personally. it’s not they don’t trust you, they’re scared.
- Know their anxiety sometimes doesn’t make sense, Don’t tell them they’re being irrational.
- There’s no need to ask if they’re okay when you know they’re not.
- Tell them how important they are to you time to time.
- Educate yourself, understand what they are going through.
