We Don’t Always End Up With The Loves Of Our Lives

We Don’t Always End Up With The Loves Of Our Lives

You may not be having the Love of your life, but that is alright

True love that lasts for a lifetime does exist in this world. It is not uncommon to see such examples around us. However, that may not be the case for everyone.

Not everyone is destined to be involved in a relationship that is meant to be forever.

It is right not to keep unrealistic expectations from a relationship. It is more practical to understand people break the promises they make.

It is much more comforting to understand it may become difficult and sometimes impossible to be with the person we felt love truly. This happens because there are so many things that come in between. Deep contrasts, religious rifts, diseases, and ailments are not resolved by love.

There are people who had met what we can say ‘the love of life’ – the kind of love that affects every atom of your body and soul and consumes you completely.

We all have read about such love in novels and poems, but some people actually go through it in their lifetime. What those stories and poems don’t tell us is how many times such love doesn’t last. Men and women involved in Love don’t always end up marrying. They don’t get to be together till their last breath.

People part ways for so many reasons. They understand love alone is not enough to keep them going. With experience they have learned they are better off being with someone else who is not necessarily the Love of their lives.

It is nothing wrong not to have impractical or unreasonable expectations from love. It is okay not to have lived with one person all your life. It is all right to be with anyone who brings you happiness and makes your life easier. Remember, love alone cannot conquer everything.

Two people in love may want absolutely different things from life. It may be that you want a lovely home with three kids and just enough to live and be happy. Your lover, on the other hand, may crave for a successful career in a big city. You may love the warmth and coziness of your home, while your lover could be the ‘adventurous’ type.

It could be pretty disastrous for two such people to come together. A relationship can exist when two people can work wholeheartedly towards mutual happiness and support. With this realization people have to choose different paths. They move in different directions for mutual benefit.

When there is strong love, it is not easy to leave, but it is the most loving thing that one can do.

If you have experienced true love in your life but situations forced you to give it up, don’t feel lost. Nothing happens without a reason. Perhaps, the person who made you feel that way was meant to be for a short while in your life. Be thankful for having met them, after all so many people never ever come across the love of their lives.
