Have you ever had a conversation with someone and then said, โIโll think about it?โ.
In times of peril, there is not much room to think, but in times of contemplation, there is always some ability to process information. So which is it? I am here to tell you that it does not matter. Why?
Thinking is good, but what and how you think doesnโt always match to what and who you say you are. So? What is a possible alternative? Remove what some fancy professionals call โcognitive dissonanceโ. Allow yourself to have an initial reaction to something, even if itโs very negative, and then understand why did this happen โ what inside me bothers me about this current instance, or this current time? Why did I have such a reaction?
I have learned, through unfortunate suffering, that if you have to think about it a long time โ it might mean something is blocking your path. Your brain is not receiving and letting the information go, itโs stuck in a state where itโs constantly buzzing instead of accepting information and then resending out to the world.
What can we do? Things are fighting for our attention. Jobs, online, friends, facebook friends, instagram friends, twitter friends. We consume data and yet we have no room to process it. What if we consume less, do less, and adjust to our own happiness?
