The Thing About An Anxiety Disorder Is That You Know It Is Stupid

The Thing About An Anxiety Disorder Is That You Know It Is Stupid.

The thing about an anxiety disorder is that you know it is stupid. You know with all your heart that it wasn’t a big deal and that it should roll off of you. But that is where the disorder kicks in; suddenly the small thing is very big and it keeps growing in your head, flooding your chest, and trying to escape from under your skin. You know with all of your heart that you’re being ridiculous and you hate every minute of it. The fact that many people don’t recognize or have the patience for your illness only makes everything worse.

  1. actually its big deal, my Boss son has depression and anxiety, he came to a point that he keeps on repeating the words or questions, he will ask me like : ” did i throw the plastic in the trash bin? ” i will answer ” yes, you did ” he will walk 3 steps and ask again..5 more steps and he will go back to ask again, he will come down from his room just to ask again..it got worse that he has to repeat the question 40x, we cant tell him to stop hes shaking and will get angry..so we keep on answering, why? he wants reassurance. now hes somehow better, he rely more in his routine, coz people w anxiety has problem w spontaneity and surprise..continous ECT, medications, exercise and psychotherapy..
whoever suffers must learn to manage theirs, create a routine or system that will work for you, and let loose a little, give up control for awhile, relax..let go, meditate, exercise..and have a strong support system it helps a lot..
    ( back rub ) chill..relax, its okay..
