She acknowledged, ‘Obviously you have big hopes, but this definitely exceeded everything that I ever imagined.’ Referring to her multibillion-dollar shapewear company, she continued, ‘I still have impostor syndrome’… ‘but I think that’s part of what keeps me going.’
Kim Kardashian Skims was founded in 2019, and the brand gained momentum during the pandemic. It has garnered a loyal customer base due to its top-notch materials, fashionable designs, and inclusive sizing and shade options.

But Kim Kardashian Has Imposter Syndrome Despite Success Of Skims
Throughout her career, Kim K has explored diverse business ventures, spanning from mobile games to cosmetics and perfumes. While many of them turned out to be profitable, she candidly admitted that none of them truly resonated with her and often felt like she was “winging” her career.
During the initial phase when she hadn’t quite grasped the direction of her career and was simply improvising, she engaged in licensing deals with numerous companies, some of which seemed contradictory. For instance, she partnered with a cupcake brand while simultaneously endorsing a weight-loss pill.
However, the tide turned when she achieved overwhelming success with SKIMS. It was a significant relief for Kardashian, as she finally felt a sense of accomplishment. “I feel like, OK, I did it,” she confessed.
In March 2022, Kim Kardashian faced intense backlash following her remarks about women in business during an interview with Variety. Her statement, “Get your f—ing ass up and work,” drew heavy criticism and sparked controversy.
She expressed her surprise at the negative response during her appearance on Good Morning America, where she offered an apology and clarified that her advice had been taken out of context.
