I've Always Believed A Person's Significance To You Should Be Measured

“I’ve always believed a person’s significance to you should be measured not by how long they last, or where they sit on the timeline, but how captivating and genuine your time with them was. You mightn’t be my final love, but between us, you’ll always be my favourite one.”

  1. I do not agree.

I don’t want to be a favorite. I dont want to be merely “liked”. That isn’t love.

….i think of how this would cause a child to feel, if a parent (who wasn’t present most of the time) said it to them: “You might not be my final child…but between us…you’ll aways be my favorite one”

    It just, hurts.
