Armie Hammer divorce from Elizabeth Chambers has finally reached a settlement, marking the end of a three-year process since Chambers first filed.

The former couple has successfully reached an agreement, which was finalized on Tuesday and is now awaiting approval from a judge.

Armie Hammer, 36, and Elizabeth Chambers, 40, had been married since May 2010 and share two children: Harper, 8, and Ford Douglas Amand, 6.

As per a court document obtained by PEOPLE, called the Declaration of Default, it was stated that “the parties have entered into a written agreement regarding their property and their marriage or domestic partnership rights, including support, the original of which is being or has been submitted to the court.”

The document also mentions that Hammer and Chambers are seeking court approval for their agreement. The settlement news was initially reported by TMZ.

In May, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office made the decision not to proceed with sexual assault charges against Armie Hammer in one specific case. This choice was based on the assessment that there was insufficient evidence to establish the case beyond a reasonable doubt.

Despite the challenges faced during their divorce and subsequent events, the former couple has now reached a settlement, bringing their legal proceedings closer to conclusion.

Armie Hammer, acclaimed for his role in “Call Me By Your Name” and last seen in the 2022 film “Death on the Nile,” finally addressed the abuse allegations in an interview with Air Mail published in February.

While maintaining his innocence regarding criminal acts, Hammer acknowledged being emotionally abusive towards his former partners.

Elizabeth Chambers, in an interview with Elle magazine around the same time, expressed her ongoing support for Hammer. She stated that her only wish is for him to be sober, healthy, and happy, and she believes he has achieved that.

Chambers emphasized his positive presence when he is with their children, highlighting her desire for their children to have two dedicated parents.

Despite the difficulties they have faced, Chambers continues to offer her support in promoting a healthy co-parenting environment for the sake of their children.
