The weather will be perfect
and your home will hold a glow that makes you wonder
if it was always that pretty and you just never before
took the time to notice it.
Maybe you’ll have a person when this day comes,
and maybe you won’t. But if you don’t,
I hope you have no qualms about it.
I hope you love yourself enough to realize
that all along you never needed anyone.
