The Mystery Of Spring

As winter slowly withdraws its icy fingers, there is a moment we do not see, yet it happens every year without fail. It is an invisible turning point. The shift when something awakens deep within the earth, and the world begins to breathe again.

This moment is not ceremonial, not loudly triumphant. It is more like a subtle vibration in the fabric of existence. A quiet yes that the earth whispers to itself, now.

Spring does not begin with the colors of flowers. Not with the returning songs of birds, nor with the warming sunlight. Spring begins in the unseen, in that silent inner space where possibility is still only a seed, and where every unfolding has its own timing.

The mystery of spring is the mystery of invisible birth, that something which barely existed for long months suddenly begins to pulse again.

We often believe that the cycle of nature is only a wonder of the outer world. But in truth, spring is born within us again and again every year.

In every human life there is a silence that follows winter, a long, motionless period when nothing seems to change, when everything appears gray, and when the soul feels heavy.

This inner winter is not dead, only withdrawn. In the unseen depths it gathers its strength, just as the seed ripens itself in darkness.

And when the moment arrives, much like that unnoticed turning point in nature, the call is born within us as well. Not in words, not in thoughts, but in a barely perceptible movement. In an unexpected ray of hope, in the realization that perhaps things do not have to remain this  forever.

The soul simply says, now.

The mystery of spring lies in the fact that renewal never forces itself. It does not strain the earth it does not break the ice in anger. It allows the readiness within, the strength accumulated in the roots, to find its way to the surface in time.

Spring does nothing. Spring allows. It allows that which would unfold anyway to finally become visible.

This is how every change is born within us. Not when we decide to change, not when we make new plans, or try to leave our old life behind.

Change begins when the soul becomes quiet and makes space for what has long been knocking Spring within us is that moment when the light reaches the inner place that has been in shadow, and life suddenly begins to remember that it can move.

Flowers are not special in spring because of their colors. They are special because each of them carries the victory of the unseen, the rising from the depths, the strength born from silence.

The secret that the darkness of the earth was not an obstacle, but a cradle. Every flower reminds us that the greatest transformations in our own lives also begin in inner silence.

And as nature shows us every year, there is no winter that does not carry within it the promise of spring.

The mystery of spring, then, is nothing other than the eternal reawakening of existence. And the remembrance that within us lives that deep, immense power that can unfold again after any darkness.

Spring does not begin in the world. Spring begins where the soul allows life to unfold within it and through it once more.
