Sometimes I wrestle
with what I think,
and what I feel.
Heart and brain,
Long time friends,
Brothers in arms,
Partners in crimes,
When together,
Life is a canter,
When on opposite sides,
A series of bumpy rides,
Wish they are friends forever,
How I wish life givesย meย

End the heart and brain wrestle
A bond between them is special
The heart and mind can battle,ย
but we must try to understand,
that neither can take over,ย
that neither can take over,ย
because they go hand in hand.ย
Feelings and knowledgeย
are two different things
ย that can create scarsย
once a battle begins.ย
One will fight for what it feelsย
and one will fight for what it knows.ย
The mind controls everything
so when the mind and heart collide,
discard everything.
When the mind is empty,
true mind will resurface
and will understand
what a sincere heart
wants to say.
This is me verses me
and I need a referee.
The mind and the heart,
together yet apart.ย
The worst battle is between
what you know
and what you feel
War of heart and mind:
My mind says”let go”
But,my heart says”no”ย
Maybe the constant strain
between the heart and brain
makes them both strong.
