My heart was shattered when I was unaware,

Into a million pieces of despair.

Each piece that makes me who I am,

dispersed like small pieces of sand.

Tired and torn I had to find each piece

or a life I knew would suddenly cease.

You walked in and said you would help me to hurt no more

and started picking up the pieces off the floor.

I said that will take you forever, you’re wasting your time.

With a beautiful smile you said help me find yours

so you can help me find mine.
