Popularity Does Not Equal Value

Popularity Does Not Equal Value. Most people think popular things are more valuable, the stuff right in front of their face that everyone else seems to like. I guarantee people once over looked the greatest bands of all time when they first started out playing in dive bars. I guarantee they didnโ€™t look twice at a masterpiece until the artist died and someone else told them it was great art. I guarantee they overlooked profoundly written words on a scrap piece of paper until it was in a published in a popular book. Some of the greatest things are overlooked because they arenโ€™t in the limelight. Value is not measured by popularity, and this includes your own.
