Heaven can wait just one more day,
there’s still so much for us to do.
They already have so many angels…
why do they need you?
Don’t they know you’ve always been
the keeper of my secrets and defender of my heart.
You’ve walked by my side for all these years….
we ‘were never meant to part.
Heaven says you’ve earned your wings
and it’s time for you to fly…
but they can wait at least one more day
before I say goodbye.
When tomorrow comes,
and I finally entrust my friend to you,
I want all of heaven to know
just how much he’s truly worth….
you see, he’s already, always been….
my faithful guardian angel, here on earth.
