Fact Check: Declaration Of “Sex As A Sport In Sweden” Turns Out To Be Fake News!

Recent rumors have been circulating, falsely claiming that sex as a sport in Sweden has officially declared and is making preparations to host the inaugural European Sex Championship in Gothenburg on June 8.

However, it has now been clarified that these reports on sex competition in Sweden are entirely baseless and untrue.

According to a publication in The Times of India, Sweden was purportedly the first country to recognize sex as a sport and was planning to organize a Sex Championship. Nevertheless, there’s a twist in this tale.

The article sheds light on a six-week-long competition organized by the Swedish Sex Federation, aimed at participants engaging in a wide range of sexual activities across sixteen different disciplines.

These disciplines reportedly encompass seduction, oral sex, penetration, endurance, body massages, foreplay, and the exploration of erotic zones, among others.

Reports suggest that the European Sex Championship contestants would face demanding six-hour sessions daily, with individual matches lasting between 45 and 60 minutes.

The championship was said to feature twenty participants from different countries, with a panel of three judges tasked with determining the winners.

Additionally, audience influence would also factor into the decision-making process. Contestants would be assessed based on multiple aspects of their sexual activity, including chemistry, knowledge about sex, and endurance.

Media reports further claim that couples well-versed in the ancient Indian scripture on sex and eroticism, the ‘Kamasutra,’ would receive bonus points. The championship purportedly aimed to encourage individuals from diverse sexual orientations to participate.

Chairman of the Swedish Federation of Sex, Dragan Bratych, shared insights with The Times of India, stating that incorporating sexual orientation as part of sporting tactics would be a groundbreaking development among European countries.

Bratych explained that just like any other sport, achieving desired results in sex requires training, making it logical for people to start competing in this domain. According to Bratych, recognizing sex as a sport was an inevitable progression.
