The tools of creation are not always a 1,000-mile walk, or despair and divorce and drugs and eccentricities and nomadic journeys that you reference to make metaphors and draw patterns and existential points about the ins and outs of things. Sometimes they are routine, and simplicity, and cleanliness. An easy life is not a boring life; it is a life unshackled. It is a life freed. You do not need to generate chaos to make something of yourself. Maybe your path is not to run to the horizon, but to take everything you think you need to throw out, and sweat until it’s made beautiful.
