of the almighty Dollar 

the ability to silence 

the Truth. 

 

You can see the guilt in his eye
what could he do?
after all he was just a pry,
he was trapped in a game of shame;
money to manipulate, 

power to blame. 

 

Held captive by the dollar, 

silence fills the air,
Longing to speak the truth, 

but too distracted to share. 

 

I can’t holler
for a dollar

 

 

What is the true cost of silence?

 

 

The silence money can buy,
Can let truth hang out and dry. 

With all the corruption,
the poor loses their portion
and the rich gain out of proportion.

 

 

The desire to speak up
May be in the eyes
But
The seduction of money
Is truth’s demise 

 

 

The cost of silence
The might of money 

 

 

Truth is gagged
by wealth and greed

 

 

Money speaks
louder than words
