The Difference Between Suicide And Being Suicidal

Author : Anne Galbraith

SUICIDE vs. SUICIDAL

SUICIDE

• Regarded as a horrible tragedy

• Everyone is present and sympathetic

• Everyone wishes they hadn’t done it

• Everyone feels bad about the departed soul

• Everyone wishes they “saw the signs” and “tried to help”

SUICIDAL

• Considered to be attention-seeking behavior

• People try to avoid someone who is suicidal

• No one believes that they will “actually do it”

• People get irritated and annoyed

• Everyone ignores the signs and considers them as a nuisance

If someone you know is suicidal, please don’t ignore them. You can help save a life!
