The number one tool, that deceptive people use to get you addicted to them is, flattery, they tell you what you want to hear, and what you most need to hear. They make you feel beautiful, and special. And then they stop. They distance themselves, or disappear for a while. They continually play this game to get you addicted to them. And the times, they are loving towards you.
The difference between a genuine person, and a deceptive person is, the genuine person does not change, the minute you show them love. They don’t run, immediately after you give them your acceptance. They don’t go back and forth between loving you and distancing themselves from you. Their love is consistent, and grows. It does not easily change with the weather, the season or their mood.
