A Back Up Plan?
We tend to think they still ‘love’ us if they keep coming back to ‘check in’ after they’ve left… Our troubled hearts are in lock down waiting on the occasional text. The sporadic ‘I’m still thinking about you’ make us doubt our future. They’re trying to establish an unbreakable connection. They are inking your thoughts, making sure you include them on every page you write therafter. They want to be the one who is always ‘remembered’. Let me clear that up right now. That’s not love… not true love. It’s not what you want and it’s certainly not what you deserve. They are building a bridge. A bridge they can cross if ‘Life’ doesn’t work out how they want. They want that bridge built sturdy and always available… So they build that imaginary path between their heart and yours. You need to ask yourself if you want to be a back-up plan. A safety net. Why do you want to let someone think they are a lifetime connection just because they ‘choose’ to toy with your heart? That’s not love. That’s an asshole.
