Letting go of my ex was one of the toughest things I’ve ever had to do. I loved him with every inch of my body and soul. He was my everything. The one I wanted to grow old with. The one I was supposed to have children with. The one that promised me the moon and the stars but life has a funny way of working out. Because what I thought I wanted then isn’t what I want now. And even though I spent years wondering why things happened the way they did, I’m thankful because if they didn’t, I wouldn’t be the person I am today. What I used to put up with before are things I would never allow in my life again. Trust the process. Stop spending so much time worrying and crying over the loss of a relationship and realize that some things weren’t meant to be. What’s meant for you will find you and what isn’t meant to be in your life will fade away.
