This Mobile App End User License Agreement (“EULA”) is a legal agreement between you and Minds Journal Private Limited, the company behind The Minds Journal, governing your use of the The Minds Journal mobile application, including the Android application and any future iOS application (collectively, the “App”).

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by this EULA, together with our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.
For clarity, the App is one access point to the broader services operated by Minds Journal Private Limited, and the rules, rights, and obligations set out in our Terms & Conditions continue to apply unless this EULA specifically says otherwise.

1. Who We Are
The Minds Journal is a global digital publishing platform focused on mental health, psychology, relationships, emotional wellness, and personal growth. It is operated by Minds Journal Private Limited.
This EULA applies to the The Minds Journal mobile application and any related mobile software, features, updates, and digital functionality made available by Minds Journal Private Limited.
2. License Grant
Subject to this EULA, Minds Journal Private Limited grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on a device that you own or control, solely for personal, lawful, non-commercial use.
This license is granted only for the purpose of accessing and using the services made available through the App in accordance with this EULA and our other applicable policies.
Your current EULA already grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license for personal, non-commercial use.
3. Prohibited Uses
You may not:
- reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except where applicable law expressly permits it
- modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works from the App
- rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute, or sublicense the App
- use the App to develop or support a competing product or service
- circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features, access controls, or digital rights protections
- use the App in violation of export laws, sanctions laws, or applicable regulations
- use the App in any way that violates our Terms & Conditions, Community Guidelines, or applicable law
Your current EULA already contains these prohibited uses.
4. App Store and Third-Party Platform Terms
If you access or install the App through a third-party distribution platform such as Google Play or the Apple App Store, your use may also be subject to that provider’s terms, policies, billing conditions, and device rules.
Apple App Store
Where applicable, this EULA is between you and Minds Journal Private Limited, not Apple. Apple may be treated as a third-party beneficiary to this EULA where required by its platform rules. Your license is limited to use on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, subject to Apple’s applicable media and services terms.
Google Play
Where applicable, your use of the App through Google Play must also comply with the Google Play Terms of Service and related platform requirements.
Your current EULA already addresses Apple and Google store terms.
5. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
The App may offer digital products, premium features, memberships, subscriptions, or other paid services.
Where applicable:
- purchases are processed by the relevant app-store provider or payment platform
- refunds are subject to the policies of the relevant provider and applicable law
- subscriptions may auto-renew unless canceled before renewal
- you may manage or cancel subscriptions through your app-store account settings
- certain digital goods may be delivered immediately, and any legally available cooling-off or withdrawal rights may be limited or waived where permitted by law
Your current EULA already includes app-store purchase processing, auto-renewal, and cooling-off language.
6. Updates and Upgrades
We may release updates, patches, bug fixes, compatibility improvements, security upgrades, or feature enhancements for the App from time to time.
By using the App, you agree that such updates may be provided automatically or through the relevant distribution platform, and that this EULA will apply to those updates unless a separate license is provided.
Your current EULA already states that updates may automatically download and that the EULA applies to updates unless separately licensed.
7. Data Usage and Push Notifications
The App may require internet connectivity to function properly. Standard mobile data charges, carrier fees, or network costs may apply depending on your provider and device settings.
The App may also send push notifications relating to:
- account activity
- messages or replies
- content updates
- publishing or community activity
- product announcements
- rewards, points, or other engagement features where relevant
You may control push notifications through your device settings or in-app settings where available.
Your current EULA already addresses internet connectivity, data charges, and push notifications.
8. Termination
This EULA remains in effect until terminated.
By You
You may terminate this EULA at any time by discontinuing use of the App and deleting all copies from your devices.
By Us
We may suspend or terminate your rights under this EULA if you breach this agreement, violate our Terms & Conditions, misuse the App, or where termination is required for legal, security, or operational reasons.
Upon termination, the license granted to you under this EULA ends immediately.
Certain provisions, including those relating to payments, disclaimers, liability, and dispute resolution, survive termination where applicable.
Your current EULA already includes termination on breach and survival of key sections.
9. Warranty Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.
This includes, where permitted by law, disclaimers of implied warranties such as:
- merchantability
- fitness for a particular purpose
- non-infringement
- uninterrupted availability
- error-free operation
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Your current EULA already includes this warranty disclaimer language.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Minds Journal Private Limited shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App, including loss of data, profits, goodwill, or service availability.
Our total aggregate liability in relation to the App shall not exceed the greater of:
- INR 10,000, or
- the amount you paid for the App or related paid mobile services in the preceding 12 months
where such limitation is permitted by law.
Your current EULA already includes this liability cap.
11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This EULA is governed by the laws of India.
Disputes relating to this EULA are subject to the dispute resolution framework set out in our Terms & Conditions, including the arbitration provisions where enforceable.
Where those provisions do not apply or are not enforceable in your jurisdiction, disputes may be submitted to the courts of competent jurisdiction in Kolkata, India.
Your current EULA already ties disputes to Indian law and the broader arbitration framework.
