Children need to have
their own perspective,
Giving them your vision
can be destructive!
They show us a beautiful world
with their eyes.
But as we grow up,
we learn that it was all lies.
That the world is not
all sunshine and rainbows.
Our parents however only wanted
us to see the good in all,
though to do that they took a fall.
I will you give you
my experienced eyes to see,
so that you may live a life
better than me.
With their eyes,
I looked.
But with mine,
I saw.
Your children see and believe
what you show them to be.
Guide them gently
and let them discover
their own destiny.
The ultimate love,
A parent has for their child,
Gives them the drive,
To go to great lengths, however wild.
Key is to understand,
the child has its own life.
It arrived in this world through them,
Not because of them.
Let the child live its life,
Give it a chance to love its life.
