Empath

An empath is a person who is highly intuitive and excellent in emotional intelligence. They can read people well and feel what others are feeling. Empaths have a compulsion to make others feel better and provide them with love, care, and emotional support.

But this often proves to be counterproductive for empaths as they end up feeling drained by showering all their energies on others. And sometimes, they also unwittingly become an emotional punching bag for negative and toxic people.

There are different types of empaths and if you identify yourself as one, check out The Minds Journal’s stories and blogs on the challenges of being an empath, an empath’s survival guide, and other related topics and self-help tools.
