When a man is unhappy and is not interested in continuing with the relationship he is in, he shows certain signs that he is going to breakup.
Men can often be capricious, being one myself, I can testify this statement. When it comes to emotions though considered highly evolved, they can be as unpredictable as women if not more.
Men seek comfort in a relationship but they also like to keep it interesting. The dilemma of whether to end a relationship or not is real, being with someone because you feel safe and cared for makes sense but not being able to reciprocate and feel the love tells a different tale.
Love is an independent feeling, it is not bound to your fear or safety, if it is, then you know something is wrong. Men don’t easily give up or break up, they try, and they try to rationalize the reasons for staying in the relationship, reasoning themselves to hold on. But the ship has sailed and “once sailed, neither the ship nor the shore ever remains the same again.”

1. He seems to be getting distant.
He is there in front of you but you don’t feel his presence. He might be there physically, but not emotionally. When you feel that he is being way too detached with you, know that the ship has sailed, and it’s time to prepare yourself to say goodbye.
You may try to bring him back, bring the love back but you feel that sadness because you know it’s just a matter of time when he gets lost in his mind again. Your efforts or the time you shared will make no difference.
2. He is suddenly always busy with work.
Not every man loves his job and they tolerate it only because they need to support the roof above their head. If your man is suddenly spending more time in the office despite the same workload, it is a sign that he doesn’t feel that spark with you anymore, and he is getting ready to break up with you.
It might sound harsh but if a man wants to be home early right next to you, he will be. You have seen him work every day and if he starts coming home at 9 pm despite no change in job role, he is not cheating but rather choosing to do anything other than being with you.

3. The sex has stopped.
Even though in healthy relationships, the sex tends to tone down after a while, when you see that your boyfriend is disturbingly disinterested in having sex with you, know that your relationship is nearing its end.
You will notice that he won’t even kiss you, and even if he does have sex with you, it will seem more of like a chore or duty on his part. So, know that this is one of the signs that he is ready to breakup with you.
4. He gives in to the vices.
When in a relationship, one tries to stay healthy and better himself to prove it to you that he is worth the run and he isn’t leaving you for anything.
If you start to notice that his drinking/smoking addictions are out of check and he is engrossed in everything that he isn’t supposed to, it signs that they are reaching for the exit door.
If they no longer care for the balance in their life, they are probably done with the relationship.
5. Your touch is no more magical.
If a man wants to be with you, they will be. If he starts to recoil from your kisses or hand-holding, know that he is ready to bounce. When he stops touching you and hates it when you do, the relationship has run the course.

You may notice him sad and depressed at times but when you are with him, it seems as if everything is all right. The answer is strangely always ‘great!’ and this is a sign that something is terribly wrong.
If he no longer opens up to you emotionally, and suddenly stops being vulnerable, he is already on the bus to back where he came from. When someone genuinely loves you, and wants to be with you, they will always share their feelings with you.
8. Frequent mood swings.
Well if you’re not sure if your actions are going to make him happy or set him off, it’s clear that you no longer make him happy.
We all know that when we love a person we love everything they do (the efforts they put in for us). And when we don’t, we just ignore every effort they put in and don’t care if our reaction will hurt them.
If he has become moody and your efforts of making him happy are doing otherwise, it’s one of the prominent signs that he is planning to breakup with you.

9. No talks about the future.
Remember those colorful dreams of the future you dreamt together? How you would visit that valley together, and how you were both to go on a world tour or what the name of your kids would be? How you would plan your wedding, and how you would decorate your first house?
He hasn’t forgotten anything either but he doesn’t bring it up because he no longer sees a future with you. He does not plan anything anymore, because he doesn’t see you as a part of his future.
10. You feel it.
Remember how you felt on meeting him or when he first touched you? Your heart sees things you don’t see. If he still loves you will feel it and if he doesn’t you will feel that too. Learn to listen to your heart.
Relationships do lose magic at some point but it doesn’t mean they can’t be brought back in line, you can either let go or hold on. We never know what tomorrow holds. Maybe something disturbed your partner and you should hold on for a while and bring back your love to life.
Or maybe you should let go, maybe tomorrow has something better to offer you. You never know.
But we need to give our best, put in efforts to save the sinking ship, maybe it will float again and you can sail on but do remember, it is pointless to sink with the ship, so let it go when the time comes.
